Have we all seen it? Have we all formed our opinions? Do you want mine? :) This is a not very well-written, or highly intelligent review. But it's a review just the same. I posted part of this on a friend's blog as a comment the other day, so Shift+C, Shift+V=

I saw the movie today. I didn't go in expecting it to be exactly like the book. I even said it was OK if I didn't love it. But I did! I loved it. I was happy with the whole experience. I think even if I did go in with high expectations, I would have still loved it. Of course a few things are different from the book. It always has to be that way when creating a film from a book. It's always hard to see a book translated by someone who may have a different view than you do in your mind (isn't this the Harry Potter dilemma all over again). But for me, I think it was pretty dang close to how I envisioned it. I really think I enjoyed it so much because I had read the book, and knew, as an "insider," why the heck Edward was acting a certain quirky way. And I could have a good chuckle. I read part of Midnight Sun, the version on Stephanie Meyer’s website that she wrote from Edward’s point of view. It helped me understand certain things that were happening from his perspective. So I noticed when those elements came out more in the movie, as well, and appreciated that. I enjoyed it for what it was: a good interpretation of a teen lit novel, with a teenage girl target audience. It was a fun time, and I really do want to go see it again. Soon.

Unlike many, I was happy with every single character (except can we tame that hair of Jasper's? I mean, really). I was skeptical of Bella. But seeing them in action, I really thought the tension and chemistry/attraction was perfectly balanced. I was sold.
