Paper wings and wire things—
It's a delicate balance learning how to fly and fall.

I just watched the most wonderful and amazing documentary. Man on Wire.
It chronicles Philippe Petit's astounding 1974 high-wire walk between the Twin Towers. I can't even do this film justice. That is what Wes is for. So travel on over to his blog to read a much more detailed and well-worded review. This film was bewildering, magical, inspiring, thrilling. And I recommend it to all!

Hi you don't know me, but I stumbled upon your blog and just had to comment....

They made this story into a picture book about six years ago. It is called The Man Who Walked Between the Towers, by Mordicai Gerstein. It is wonderfuly done with beautiful illustrations. My boys love this book. I had no idea it was made into a movie, I can't wait to watch it with them!!!

Anyway, thought you might like to get it for your little boy.

The book mentioned above won the Caldocott award the year it was released - so even in book form, this story maintains its excellence.
