A squeaky little *help*

I am having a moment of weakness. You know—where you look at everyone's blogs and think, "They have all had more babies than me and look impossibly thin." (Close the laptop. Look at the glowing apple. Open the laptop, continue.) Ugh! Why am I doing that? Do you do that? I think it's because I have about 3 things that currently fit, and I am only about 3 months along. What's going to happen to me in the next 6 months? I can tell you what! If it's anything like last time, I am going to be wearing the same blessed velour jogging suit with my ugly New Balance running shoes every • single • day during the last month, donning whatever t-shirt will stretch around me. And people will be fleeing the scene a la The Devil Wears Prada, when Miranda enters the building in that fateful first Runway scene (seen it?). I swear my co-workers were saying, "Just tell her how *cute* she looks! She might eat you..." I gained a lot with Finn. Please please please don't make me do it again (whining plea). Yes, I know I was able to shed most of those pounds, and some of you probably want to slug me for even posting this. Sure, I look basically not-too-pregnant, and relatively "fit," as one friend put it (the fit part, not the relatively part). But is it not true that no matter how good we look at any given moment, knowing your body is ballooning out of control for the next human gestational period might just lead to panic-stricken bouts of self-awareness? I think I am justified in my concern. And any other mother-to-be, size 2 or 12, is awarded the same priviledge. So say I. (Are my pregnancy posts getting tiresome? Then just remove me from your sidebar list, because it's likely there will be more.)

I want to validate how you are feeling, but just know, NONE of us are looking at you (or ever did look at you) in fear that you might eat us. And yes. You do look fit--I know I thought it, and am pretty sure I said it. So I stand by that comment. 2nd time around your body is being more efficient. Our bodies are smarter than we are sometimes, and even though we would have ourselves look very Heidi Klum a la 3rd pregnancy in 3 years--that may not be what is best for the little bean growing inside. This is not to make you feel guilty for such feelings. I again TOTALLY validate you and have often had these same lamentations to Roger at midnight when my brain won't get off it. But I want to personally serve you up some cut slack on a platter and say--Congratulations Lyndsay! You are pregnant--and your body is doing exactly what it needs to: )
P.S. I gained wayyyy more with Mo than you did with Finn--if that is any consolation. Mmmmmk. Officially off my soapbox. LUVS!

P.P.S. I will not take you off my sidebar. And you are entitled to as many rants as you feel inclined. Until next time...

I love pregnancy rants! If you want to review mine with this last pregnancy, especially before I knew i was having twins...my "sick" stage was running over into my "fat" stage, or should I say I got "fat" really early. I ate a whole box of twinkies by my self....and that's just the beginning, SOOOO I say document it, the good, the bad, and the ugly.

And, I need help getting one of your banners on my side bar. I'm a little blog delayed.

love,
stacie

I know exactly how you are feeling. My regular pants stopped fitting the moment the second line on the pregnancy stick showed up. I didn't have to "start" wearing maternity clothes with Luke until I was almost 5 months pregnant. And someone gave me an XL size maternity pants when I was pregnant with Luke, and I thought I would never have to wear them (I was in a size medium at the time.) But I wore them A LOT that last month when nothing fits but a tent. But you got the weight off once, and you will do it again. So fret not my friend, you're making a human.

Lyndsay I gained 32 pounds with both of mine and I think I am back to normal! Yes, the second one took longer, but I'm okay with that. I'm not okay with my stomach but we have been talking and I think we have agreed to work things out. :)

P.s. I like the prego blogs!
